WELL. Here's the thing - lately I've tried my hand at writing. When I was a kid, being an author was a dream of mine, but I soon started picking up pencils instead and found it easier to express myself through pictures rather than words. As of late, my hand doesn't co-operate and drawing's become a chore, so I went back to my first love so to speak.
However, I'm really insecure about my writing ability - to be honest I'm not sure if I have one. If I were to post it on dA, I'd only do it if I knew there were people out there that'd be interested rather than me sat staring at my inbox waiting for feedback that never I'd never get. Not that my stories are anywhere near ready to be let out onto the internet.
Why the poll then Sarah, you knucklehead? Simple, I know when I see prose in my inbox - I just take an "I'll read it later" mentality and never get around to it. I'm curious whether it's just me being a lazy arsehat or if it really is a common thing around here.
I love reading original concepts desu~ I know if any of my watchers post original stuff, I make them first priority XD cuz I know how self esteem killing it can be to wait for comments on original work D: pictures or writing~ (I'm not trying to hint lol)
That's good to know~ :'D Yeah, original stuff should take a priority. Although saying that, I think I get lazy when it comes to posting feedback on anything original~ ._. THE BURNING I FEEL. IT IS SHAME, YA? </yelling> Oh; obvious hit is obvious~ *slapped*
*nods* X3 I think it's cuz with original stuff, the people who make it have a really special connection with it desu and want to know their ideas and characters are good 8D *nods nods* AHA. I GET THAT REFERENCE *hit* </alsoyelling>
haha 8D Oh I'm pretty happy with the feedback I have on my stories so far~ I've had enough emo fits to last a while with experiment at least >> ho ho ho~
*nod* Yeah of course, if you've come up with something by yourself and you're proud of it, then getting any kind of feedback so they know how to improve or if what they're doing is appealing to other people in general is important. Otherwise all confidence just dies on it's arse.
IN SOVIET RUSSIA, THE REFERENCE GETS YOU. </additionalyelling>
You shouldn't emo-fit about Experiment because it's a great concept. Personally I love it, and think it requires moar love from everyone else. D: < I suppose that's the problem with sticking it on an original account for original things. Then again, it ups your chances of getting comments that are insightful and awe-inspiring rather than "cool lol". *punched*
exactely desu 8D. Your hair gets me. that's why we married in the first place XD.
*nods* I keep considering if I should just ditch the original stuff account and flee back to this one with comic pages in hand lol. But yea D: I'd rather a few comments of people actually interested in it XD instead of one's who might seem forced to comment and fave just because it's my art or something XD
